We received many compliments on our programming for Kent County, which is on 100.3 FM hailing from the City of Lowell! We thank the Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce for their support and partnership with WION "Year-Round".....we've had that great organization on the air even […]

M.R.N. went away, and we picked up what we have now, the Michigan News Network. On the “larger side” of news, we started with CBS. They were owned by a large corporation, and THEY “lost us” during a corporate buyout and physical move from one end of the country to the […]

The event was postponed from January due to bad weather and I was the beneficiary of being able to attend on the delayed date.  The event was called "Dead Media Market" and, the event was anything BUT "dead." We got there as it opened and stood in line.  In the lobby were exhibitors with everything from portable black and white TV sets, […]

Lowell’s 100.3 (Hopefully) Good for Christmas!

To our valued Lowell listeners on 100.3.... We hope you know that whenever there is an issue with our signal on 100.3 we are notified and we do our very BEST to get it back on for you. Without lengthy explanations, just know that we deal with two different Internet Service Providers to get you the audio for your Kent County Signal. Sometimes one or the other has issues.  When either does, the 100.3 signal automatically shuts down per FCC […]

Technical Difficulties at Lowell….

Just wanted to let anyone concerned know that we ARE aware of the outage of Lowell's 100.3, WION-FM. It appears to  have started about 5:30 this morning, the 10th of December, and came ON again about an hour later, but is off as of this writing at 9:45 Wednesday morning. When the weather clears for safer traveling and I can get a vehicle to the site, we'll investigate.  The equipment is et to automatically shut down when audio is not […]
