This Sunday morning it appears by monitoring a Facebook group dedicated to certain internet outages that our 1003 FM is not on the air. By FCC regulation, any time there is no audio detected at the transmitter site, the transmitter has to shut down until audio returns. When I wrote this, Facebook had been down about 15 minutes. It's near an hour now. Wednesday through Thursday it would seem that the weather our "West Central" (Ionia County) area was not supposed to get is now "likely" to get some winter weather. Over the weekend, a package arrived for WION's Jim and Justin. It took awhile to open, having been packaged so very well....Inside was a large homemade card, a heartwarming letter, and more.
