WION radio apologizes for the temporary absence of our “townhall” national and international news. The manner in which it is distributed to us changed without notice, and a new piece of equipment is required to receive our network “feed.” luckily, this is the only thing wion receives from satellite, and the rest of our programming originates locally! We will return to carrying top of the hour newscasts from townhall in a few days! The michigan news network is unaffected by this change and will continue uninterrupted. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience and will get back to our usual townhall newscasts soon! Thanks for listening…and taking us along with you…from america’s biggest little radio station, WION-AM stereo 1430!

Justin's question on Tuesday was, "This item, available in Ionia cost 35 cents in 1945, what's the item? The answer was, "A TICKET TO THE IONIA THEATRE" It came from this ad in a vintage newspaper. Thank you J and T Antiques and Estates for the newspapers!
When we're not bringing you Jim and Justin or Edwards' Archives, or our Noon Newsblock, or "Totally 80's Flashback" or...Turntable Trainwrecks, or Popeye John's Monday Night Classic Rock"....or Barry Scott's Lost 45's....we're still working hard to bring you a great station with music and information EVERY hour!
