Recorded on the repair bench in the WION engineering room, we thought you’d enjoy this video of us actually “dubbing” via microphone to a digital file of this 1929 recording so we could play it for you on the air as a feature…showing the song THEN and NOW.

This is what the mechanical motor looks like in a 1912 phonograph in Jim Carlyle’s collection of “vintage” items.  The machine used for the video is a different one, but we thought you’d want to see this simplicity.
