Those of you tuned-in last week may have caught Randy Edwards’ calling the J and J Midday show from his home studio with some GREAT news!

Even as Randy’s “Turntable Trainwrecks” has ended it’s run in our noon hour, a feature we’ve had for probably around a decade, Randy is putting his efforts into expanding “Edwards’ Archives” heard weekends on WION.

Randy tells us that he’ll be expanding the program to TWO hours beginning in July.  This means TWICE the music, TWICE the information about Randy’s picks for the show each week, and TWO times for you to tune in to hear it all.

We’ll be keeping Randy’s show in it’s usual timeslots.  On Saturday morning at 8AM, The Ionia Moose Lodge sponsors the show and has for a long time! This tradition continues and we thank the Ionia Moose Lodge!  So, beginning in July, hour number ONE airs in the usual Saturday morning time slot.

With the addition of a second full and separate hour of Randy’s show, you can tune in for hour number two on Sunday afternoons at 3PM, the same timeslot in which we now air the “Encore” presentation.  The difference is, it’ll be fresh content each Saturday morning AND on Sunday afternoon, a totally separate and equally fun edition of Edwards’ Archives, as we divide the show over the two days of the weekend.

Be sure not to miss the NEW second hour of Edwards’ Archives beginning the first weekend in July, and we thank you for your loyalty to WION’s feature programs!  We’re here to be GREAT radio for West-Central Michigan and beyond!

Oh, and…we’ll be looking for a BRAND NEW SPONSOR for our Sunday afternoon hour of Edwards’ Archives. Contact WION at 616-527-9466 by text if you know of a business that would like to sponsor this long-running show, or email Jim Carlyle through “morning@i1430.com” and we’ll have someone get back with you, or with the business you recommend!

Apologies to Barry Scott Lost 45 Listeners…

Apparently not all of the segments for the countdown this week made it to "air" on WION. While there is no reschedule of this three-hour program feature, you CAN catch his segments missed on his website this week.  Barry always releases the show on his site AFTER they've played on […]

From our Listeners…

A huge thank you to the Weavers for the lovely flowers from Sids' Flowers, and...a very heartfelt card from a longtime listener and friend to WION, Cheri Peabody in Belding for taking the time to write us a very nice anniversary card! We appreciate you!
